Research

The main role and function of the Research and Evaluation section is to commission, conduct and publish research relating to work health and safety and workers’ compensation in Australia. This research, combined with published data from Data and Analysis section, assists decision makers when developing or evaluating policies in relation to work health and safety and workers’ compensation by building on knowledge of existing issues, identifying trends and emerging issues. Research and Evaluation provide Secretariat to the Research, Evaluation and Data (RED) Advisory Group.

Evaluation

Safe Work Australia ensures that research findings are disseminated and the knowledge gained is used to effectively inform work health and safety policy and practice.

The full list of published research reports can be accessed on our research publications page. Information regarding research into nanotechnology can be accessed via the nanotechnology pages.
