This report provides evidence-based information about diseases and occupational exposures for consideration by jurisdictions when reviewing the deemed diseases lists in their workers’ compensation legislation.

The interim review was conducted in 2023 and limited to considering the current scientific evidence on COVID-19, cancers related to firefighter work, Japanese encephalitis, and other veterinarian diseases and recommends evidence-based changes to the List of Deemed Diseases in Australia and Supporting Guidance Material.
