This Decision RIS provides a detailed analysis of the likely impact of implementing the proposed model Work Health Safety (WHS) Regulations and first stage Codes of Practice.

It takes into account the submissions received in the public consultation undertaken and assesses the overall costs and impact on Australian governments, industry and the community of implementing the model WHS Regulations and first stage Codes of Practice to support the model WHS Act.

This Decision RIS complements the analysis completed for the model WHS Act in 2010. It is not intended to cover those matters already addressed by the Decision RIS for the model WHS Act.

The Decision RIS on the model WHS Regulations and Codes was approved by the Office of Best Practice Regulation on 9 September 2011.
