The model Code of Practice on sexual and gender-based harassment is intended to be read and applied alongside the model Code of Practice: Managing psychosocial hazards at work. Sexual and gender-based harassment often occurs in conjunction with other psychosocial hazards and as a PCBU you must consider the interaction between these hazards when managing risks to the health and safety of workers and others.

To have legal effect in a jurisdiction, the model Code of Practice must be approved as a code of practice in that jurisdiction. Check with your WHS regulator to find out if this Code of Practice has legal effect in your jurisdiction.
