This model Code of Practice guides you on managing risks associated with welding.

Use this Code of Practice if you have any welding processes at your workplace.

To support the transition from workplace exposure standards (WES) to workplace exposure limits (WEL), this model Code of Practice has been amended to reflect the change in terminology to WEL. The WEL comes into effect from 1 December 2026.
