This information sheet is part of the National Action Plan for Endometriosis.

Persons conducting a business or undertaking (such as employers) can use this document to learn more about this chronic disease and its:

  • prevalence and impact on workers

  • potential impact on workplace safety.

Being informed about endometrioses and knowing how to help workers manage symptoms means you can support workers better. Taking reasonable steps to help workers manage their symptoms can lead to better work health and safety outcomes.

Women, girls and other individuals with endometriosis say having the disease recognised and acknowledged by people around them, such as their managers, can positively influence their experience in the workplace.
