Concrete pumping has caused serious incidents in recent years through:

  • concrete boom failure
  • contact between booms and overhead powerlines
  • whipping of delivery hoses
  • hazardous moving parts.

As a person conducting a business or undertaking, you have a duty to keep workers and your workplace safe from the risks of concrete pumping.

The interactive safe work method statement (SWMS) tool provides information on preparing, using and reviewing SWMS for high risk construction work.
