Work-related contact dermatitis is where you get contact dermatitis from something you are exposed to at work. It is most common in food handlers, cleaners, construction workers and those in healthcare and manufacturing. If you are a person conducting a business or undertaking (such as a business owner or workplace operator) you have a duty under the model WHS Act to make sure your workplace is safe for your workers and people in the workplace. This includes eliminating or minimising the risks of contact dermatitis so far as is reasonably practicable.
