Under the model WHS laws, a person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU), such as an employer, must eliminate or minimise psychosocial risks so far as is reasonably practicable.

The things at work that can harm mental health are known as psychosocial hazards. This National Safe Work Month in mental health week, take a moment and have a conversation about psychosocial hazards.

If you need more information about psychosocial hazards, see the model Code of Practice: Managing psychosocial hazards at work or your work health and safety regulator.
