Risk management in small business

Make sure you have ways for workers to report hazards in the workplace.

A small business, with lower risks, might have:

  • A whiteboard in a kitchen/common area for workers to write up hazards they identify
  • A locked box for making confidential/anonymous reports, or
  • A duty manager to report to if a hazard poses an immediate risk.
