Construction work is any work carried out in connection with the:  

• alteration  

• conversion  

• fitting-out  

• commissioning  

• renovation  

• repair  

• maintenance  

• refurbishment 

• demolition  

• decommissioning or dismantling of a structure 

• building site preparation 

Under the model WHS Act the term ‘demolition’ includes ‘deconstruction’.
