National Safe Work Month is wrapping up for another year and Safe Work Australia encourages businesses, employers and workers across Australia to continue to make health and safety at work a priority.

October is a valuable reminder about the importance of building a safe and healthy workplace. This National Safe Work Month highlighted the importance of identifying hazards, including psychosocial hazards, managing common health and safety risks at work, and the economy-wide benefits of creating safe and healthy work for all.

We also encouraged people to grab a cuppa, gather their teams and host a SafeTea event at their workplace during October. It was great to see so many people around the country get involved in this initiative and have important conversations about health and safety at work.

Safe Work Australia invites everyone to use the resources, messages, and activities from this year’s National Safe Work Month campaign to reinvigorate a year-round health and safety focus at work.

Know safety, work safely every day, all year round.
