2024 theme

We are pleased to share that the 2024 theme is Safety is everyone’s business. This theme encapsulates a safe and healthy working environment as a fundamental principle and right across all industries and occupations, while reinforcing the business benefit that comes from committing to safer workplaces.

Weekly topics

Each week of National Safe Work Month revolves around a particular work health and safety topic. Incorporating your consultation feedback, this year the topics are:

  • Week 1: Work health and safety fundamentals
  • Week 2: Psychosocial hazards
  • Week 3: Risk management fundamentals
  • Week 4: Musculoskeletal injuries

SafeTea

The SafeTea sub-campaign will return this year by popular demand! This event-based campaign encourages workplaces across the nation to gather the team and discuss WHS over a cuppa. Keep an eye out for the launch of SafeTea resources in the coming months.
